Reaction Chains

A reaction chain is a sequence of reactions executed in order. Any built-in zztat reaction or custom reaction can be part of a reaction chain. But note that reaction chains can not reference other reaction chains.

The zztat installation comes with several default reaction chains built-in. The behavior of reaction chains can be controlled through the following flags:

  • REPOSITORY_ONLY restricts the reaction chain or reaction to run only on the zztat repository database.
  • SKIP_FAILED instructs the reaction chain to skip failed reactions and continue executing the remaining reactions in the chain. If this flag is not set and a reaction fails, the entire chain is stopped.
  • TARGET_ONLY restricts the reaction chain or reaction to run only on target databases.
